ARNOLD SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH RESEARCH
ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The Arnold School of Public Health Research Advisory Committee (RAC)
includes representatives from each ASPH department and research center. RAC
members serve in an advising capacity to the ASPH Associate Dean for
Research and the Director of the Office of Research (OR).
RAC members:
• Advise the OR regarding ways to increase the School's research
productivity;
• Recommend specific research topics and directions for development within
the School;
• Provide guidance on protocols for research functions at the School;
• Review new research policies and procedures developed by the OR; and
• Serve as a communication link between the OR and faculty and staff within
each member's department and/or affiliated unit.
RAC meets twice per semester during the academic year, and meetings last
approximately 90 minutes. The Associate Dean for Research serves as
Committee Chair, and the Director of the Office of Research coordinates the
Committee. Members typically serve for one to three years. RAC does not meet
during the summer.
