Admission Requirements

Specific information and links regarding admissions, including deadline dates, can be found at the Arnold School of Public Health webpage. Applicants must apply through the Schools of Public Health Application Service (SOPHAS).

Admission requirements for graduate programs include:

  1. A completed application on SOPHAS.
  2. Official transcripts for all undergraduate and graduate work previously undertaken.
  3. Satisfactory GRE scores (>1000 combined quantitative and verbal recommended)
  4. Three letters of recommendation.
  5. A statement of professional and educational objectives, work experiences, and activities related to the applicant’s graduate plans.
  6. For international applicants, satisfactory score on the TOEFL (minimum score of 230 computer-based or 570 paper-based) or the IELTS Academic Course Type 2 exam (minimum overall band score of 6.5) and non-US institution transcripts verified by World Education Services (WES) or equivalent evaluation service.
  7. Master’s degree in appropriate field or equivalent advanced professional degree and/or experience if applying to the Ph.D. program.
