New Student Information
Congratulations on your acceptance to the Arnold School of Public Health
at the University of South Carolina! We would like to welcome you to the
Arnold School family. The school includes the following departments/academic
programs: Communication Sciences and Disorders; Epidemiology and
Biostatistics; Environmental Health Science; Exercise Science; Health
Promotion, Education, and Behavior; Health Services Policy and Management;
Physical Activity and Public Health; Physical Therapy; and General MPH. To
familiarize you with the services and programs available to you as a
graduate student, we have provided information for new students below. This
website will provide you with information about how to register, obtain a
student ID, use the library, and access all of the many campus services
available to you as a graduate student. Please review
the information posted on this site carefully. Simply click on the bullet
and more information will be provided in a pop-up or link.
Please make sure that you have
submitted all required documents necessary for admission and enrollment.
Some of you may have been admitted with
conditions. This could mean that your admissions file is missing items such
as official transcripts, official transcripts with the degree posted,
official test scores, WES verification of international
transcripts/documents, or documentation of the completion of prerequisite
courses.
- Official transcripts must be on
file with the USC Graduate School. If the degree was not posted on your
transcript at the time you submitted your application, you will be
required to submit an updated official transcript with the degree posted
to the USC Graduate School before you will be eligible to enroll in
classes. SOPHAS applicants will be required to submit an official
transcript to USC. Official transcripts are those sent by the registrar
of a college directly to the USC Graduate School.
- Proof of immunization is required
for enrollment. Please see the immunization link below for more
details.
- USC has a hard waiver health
insurance policy which means that all graduate students (including all
international students) are required to have health insurance. Please
see the health insurance link below for more details.
- Proof of legal residency is
required for obtaining in-state tuition. Please see the legal residency
link below for more details.
Your registration for classes could be
blocked if the required documents are not received or the conditions of your
admissions are not met. In some cases, students will have one semester to
meet the conditions placed on their admission.
